Dr. Darbro was born and raised in central Indiana. He loves the changing seasons and can't imagine living anywhere else. He and his family now live in White River Township of Johnson County. At both home and office he can look out and see the glorious autumn leaves, the redbud trees in the spring and the stretches of snow and tree trunks in the winter.

Dr. Darbro received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University with a major in Psychology and then joined the workforce for several years. In 1971 he entered Indiana University School of Dentistry graduating with distinction in 1975. He went directly on in Indiana University's orthodontic program receiving his Certificate in Orthodontics. He also wrote and defended a thesis for which he received his Master of Science in Dentistry. His Greenwood practice was opened in 1977 and in 1984 he moved to his current location.

Dr. Darbro enjoys acting and has performed on various local college stages as well as at the Indianapolis Civic Theatre. He also enjoys hiking both locally as well as out of state and has hiked the Smokies, the Tetons and "done" the Grand Canyon two times.

Dr. Darbro's appreciation for beauty and the many forms it can take is why he went into orthodontics. The effect that a beautiful smile can have on one's life makes it a goal worthy of patient, staff, and doctor alike. He likes interceptive orthodontics where he can affect growth and minimize later orthodontic problems. BUT, he also likes adolescent patients where he can provide a positive influence on both their dentition and lives. AND, he enjoys his adult patients who can report the life-changing effects of an improved smile and bite. He also takes pleasure in former patients who are in retainers and who stop by the office to bring him up-to-date on their lives.

Dr. Darbro has put a great deal of effort into creating an office that not only offers the highest quality orthodontic care but is enjoyable for everyone--patients, parents, staff, and doctor.
